Another successful field work on methane emissions in Central Asia

Carbon Limits, in cooperation with the Global Methane Initiative, concluded another on-site LDAR campaign in Kazakhstan. The campaign, carried out in September 2016, surveyed a number of upstream oil and gas facilities in Aktobe region in North West Kazakhstan. Carbon Limits is coordinating a Methane Abatement Programme in Kazakhstan with the objective of identifying main sources of methane emissions in the oil and gas sector, providing technical assistance in developing mitigation projects and improving knowledge regarding identification and abatement of emissions of methane and nm-VOCs from oil and gas activities.
