Laura is a civil engineer from the Colombian School of Engineers and graduated from the University of Sydney in 2014 with a Masters in Sustainability. She is an expert in the design of public policies and strategies on climate change, carbon pricing instruments and climate finance. With more than 12 years of experience, Laura has supported the design of carbon pricing instruments in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to her current position, Laura worked for government agencies in Colombia and Argentina developing mitigation and adaptation policies and plans for the energy and transport sectors. She has also worked for multilateral organizations and international cooperation agencies such as the World Bank and GIZ on the design of carbon pricing instruments, climate finance and green recovery. 

Originally from Colombia, Laura calls Argentina her second home, therefore she never says no to a good coffee or wine, fun music, or a chat about Article 6. You can join her for hiking, yoga, walking your dogs or exploring new restaurants.
