Carbon Limits presents pilot Paris Agreement crediting framework at workshop in Senegal

At a multi-stakeholder workshop in Dakar, Senegal in July, Carbon Limits presented the experience so far with the pathbreaking Standardized Crediting Framework (SCF), a pilot program to ensure that energy access programs developed under the CDM could continue to earn emission reductions under the Paris Agreement. The SCF pilot in Senegal combines many of the proposed simplifications of the CDM with a streamlined project cycle, all tailored for rural electrification in a least-developed country.

 

Senegal’s technical adviser at the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development and the World Bank’s Carbon Initiative for Development (Ci-Dev) staff spoke about the program in these interviews:
