This report presents a summary of the study focused on methane and black carbon emission status and abatement potential of Arctic States, as well as the key findings for the major contributing sectors.
The analysis involved reviews of emission levels and trends for methane and black carbon in Arctic States, as made public by national authorities and independent institutions. Implemented or
announced mitigation actions have also been investigated with the objective to contribute to insight into the progress currently made in emission reductions. An overview of further emissions reduction potential is presented on the basis of available information.
