Project description

In this project, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Carbon Limits reviewed the situation concerning APG flaring in Egypt and identified possible bankable APG utilization investments for the Bank, and worked together with EBRD to contribute to their further development. The project delivered:

• A review of the flare situation in Egypt and analysis of the barriers to flare reduction

• Cases studies for suitable for project implementation

• Assessment of the role of carbon and climate finance in promoting flare reduction investments

• Disseminatation of project results through a national workshop.
