Project description

The objective of this project is to provide an overview of incentives and subsidies for CCS in some key countries in Europe as well as to identify potential customers for intermediate storage of CO2 or transport by barge and to assess the state of play with offshore storage sites and technical solutions.

The services provided are:

• Data collection and analysis in order to document the current and planned state support mechanisms for each part of the CCS value chain at a general EU level and for certain countries in particular.
• Analysis of the potential customer base for barge transport and/or intermediate storage of CO2 by using a customized GIS tool developed by Carbon Limits. 
• Analysis of the state-of-the-art for CO2 storage engineering solutions offshore.
