Carbon Limits provided government officials and other key stakeholders with a solid introduction to the key concepts of Article 6 and carbon crediting. This included important technical and economic concepts, as well as different types/scales of crediting- and how the Paris Agreement presents new opportunities and challenges for international trading. The team also gave an overview of current activity in Article 6 pilots and a roadmap for countries to both establish a strategy for Article 6, as well as to screen and prioritize potential pilot activities. 

The training covered the roles and responsibilities of key actors in this process, contractual and legal issues, models for financing, and assessing the final rules agreed at COP26 for their implication for current pilots.
