Methane Emission Factor for Blue H2
Project description
Carbon Limits effectively maintained continuous communication with the consortium and focal points throughout the project, ensuring smooth collaboration and information flow. The range of services encompassed various crucial aspects. Collected oil and gas-related data from more than 30 countries, enabling a comprehensive understanding of the industry's dynamics. Additionally, the development of a robust methodology for estimating calculating methane emissions along the oil and gas value chain, a critical step in assessing the impacts of blue H2. This methodology was then applied to estimate methane emissions for all 30 countries, providing valuable insights into the magnitude of the issue. Carbon Limits further recommended appropriate usage of GWP based on client requirements, contributing to informed decision-making. Informative presentations on the developed methodology and extended technical support to the consortium was provided, ensuring that stakeholders were equipped with the necessary knowledge and assistance to navigate the project successfully.
