Project description

Carbon Limits has been selected by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to perform a technical and economic review and analysis of the associated petroleum gas (“APG”) utilization options, to support additional investment aimed to bring gas flaring from the fields to zero.

This assessment focused on the infrastructure necessary for gas utilization.

To reach the objectives set out for this study, the team of consultants conducted the following tasks:

  • Identify and describe incremental investment opportunities/alternatives, aimed at improving the associated gas utilization.
  • Review and analyze the main risks associated with incremental investments projects and the ways to mitigate these risks.
  • Perform a detailed estimation of the expected costs and benefits from the implementation of the incremental investments.

The study also evaluated options to address methane emissions from existing and new infrastructure as part of the APG utilization development.
