Project description
The primary objectives of this project were to:
- Conduct a legal, technical and institutional diagnostic/review of the state carbon registry for the ETS of Kazakhstan and provide recommendations on strengthening it;
- Provide options for future opportunities for Kazakhstan under a post-2020 carbon market regime;
- Conduct capacity building activities for local stakeholders involved in emissions trading scheme;
- Review output reports produced under a PMR component on Kazakhstan’s fourth National Allocation Plan (NAP) for its ETS
