Torleif has focused on energy and environmental issues throughout his entire professional career, first with Statistics Norway and the International Energy Agency and from 1990 as consultant and entrepreneur. He has broad international experience from work assignment in more than 25 countries, often managing complex and multi-disciplinary projects. He is the author of several books and research reports. Torleif was as a co-founder of Carbon Limits in 2005 and CL-Invest in 2021. His current interest and focus is on implementation support and financing of climate change mitigation with short lead time, particularly methane emission reductions.
